Please note that it is common to lose y/z separation on cheaper monitors, and that CRT monitors are better capable of matching printed images than LCD screens.
Full of not-so-obvious gems for photographers, cities pose a contradiction of sorts to photographers—if they live in a city long enough, they are in the position to get acquainted with the city's unique intimacy, but if they live there for a wee bit too long, they tend to no longer spot the interesting opportunities the place has to offer (as they now have been imprinted into the photgrapher's brain as "normal"). Thus has been my experience so far.
